Maple Sugaring Demonstration at the Great Swamp
When: Saturdays and Sundays through February 25 2018

Time: 1 to 2 pm and again at 2:30 – 3:30pm
Ages: 3 and up
Learn about the process of maple sugaring from start to finish. Identify and tap maple trees, collect the sap and cook the syrup. Taste test immediately afterwords. No registration required, first come, first service.
President’s Day Mini-Camp: Animal Superpowers at the Turtleback Zoo

Come to the Zoo on a day off from school for a one-day mini camp, featuring science-based activities, crafts, projects, animal presentations and investigations that feature Zoo Animals.
Drop-In Studio at Montclair Art Museum

Guided Hike at the Cora Hartshorn Arboretum

Join Cora's Conservation Corps teen volunteers as they guide you through the woods and show you that winter is the best time to look for signs of wildlife. Become a Citizen Scientist and help record important data this season! Please dress for the weather and be prepared for the outdoors and changing trail conditions. Hikes depart at 11am, 1 pm and 3 pm and will last about 45 minutes each.

Thomas Edison’s home and laboratory are a step back in time, when machines were run by belts and pulleys and music was played on phonographs. Explore the museum and hear Harry Roman as he discussed the major role NJ plays in the national invention scene and all the great inventions NJ inventors have brought into our world.
