Area Farmers Markets in full Spring Swing
In the past decade, Farmers Markets have grown to become weekly destinations for nearly every local town -- with wonderful farm fresh produce, farm made cheeses, breads, sweets and savories, and fresh picked flowers. This area is a veritable cornucopia of Farmers Market selections, with markets on almost every day of the week, depending on the town.

Montclair Farmers Market

Montclair was one of the very first towns in the Garden State to host a farmers’ market back in 1993. This market features New Jersey farmers and food artisans selling vegetables, fruits, meat, poultry, fish, cheese, prepared foods, baked goods, condiments, honey, wine, pickles, and flowers. AND to make it even more enticing, there are food trucks at the Saturday market as well as great restaurants!
Maplewood Farmers Market
1848-1852 Springfield Avenue between Yale & Oberlin Streets
June - November, 2pm - 7pm

The Township of Maplewood is preparing for its 24th season of sponsoring the Maplewood Farmers Market. This season will once again be filled with Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables, pickles and olives, breads, pastries and preserves, cheeses; prepared foods like steaks, burgers, crab cakes; gluten-free meals for "on the go" and olive oils!
Downtown Millburn Farmers Market
Corner of Main and Essex Streets
June - October 8am - 2pm
This market brings locally grown freshness direct to the Millburn-Short Hills community. Alstede Farm, Ort Farm and Great Road Organic Farm (formerly Harvest Moon) bring seasonal fruits and vegetables weekly. South Town Farm is a newcomer to the Millburn Farmers Market and joins the market via Homegrown By Heroes (HBH) “The HBH label empowers farmer veterans by giving them a tool to highlight their agricultural efforts.” Their product line includes three varieties of bacon, ten varieties of sausage, hot dogs, jerkies, poultry cuts, turkey parts and whole turkeys.
Summit Farmers Market

This bustling farmers market has added new purveyors this spring including:
Baker's Bounty will be selling all types of breads: challah, maple oat, raisin, olive, sour dough, roasted garlic, multi-grain, peasant, nut & raisin, pumpernickel, rye, onion, spinach, and other savory items.
Kimchi Culture sells Korean specialties including whole cabbage kimchi, vegan cabbage kimchi, vegan kimchi, scallion pancakes, bulgogi, kalbi, braised short ribs, and braised pork belly
Mama Emma's is the first plantain-based baked goods manufacturer in the country.
Sweet Carol's will be bringing a wide variety of low- and no-sugar jams ranging from amaretto peach and banana bread to four berry and lemon curd.
South Orange Farmers Market

The 27th Annual South Orange Farmers Market will open weekly n the Sloan Street lot across from the NJ Transit station. The market features a full roster of well known local farmers and this season will include some great new vendors. This market will have everything you need to make your perfect 4 course meal.
